When Lodgeworks brought the 171 room Archer Hotel to Austin, they needed construction partners they could count on.

Challenge

Boutique hotel projects can offer many exciting challenges. For this project, the main challenge was balancing the historic and rustic elements with the latest in design and technology. Add to that the fact that this project was one of the largest hotel projects in Austin at the time and that it needed to be completed in time for Austin's famous Austin City Limits music festival and it quickly became apparent that everyone on the project needed to bring their best!

Solution

Utilizing years of electrical expertise, pre-construction services, and project management skills, FSG provided innovative techniques to save labor costs and material costs, and deliver a successful project on time. FSG managed the subcontractors responsible for the Fire Alarm System installation, Data and Audio Visual System installation and Lightning Protection System.

Result

The Archer hotel was able to open on schedule and in time for the annual Austin City Limits Festival, a huge global attraction in Austin. The Archer hotel was completely booked for the duration of that event.
