FSG Installs Three 3,250kW Backup Generators at Sister Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant North of Dallas
ChallengeAs part of an $8,500,000.00 work scope of electrical services in support of the new Sister Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant in Wylie, Texas, FSG was tasked with the installation of three (3) 3,250kW emergency generator sets.
SolutionPrior to the installation of the new emergency generators, FSG supervised the creation of the pad sites to the required specifications, with an underground conduit fed through the pads to align properly with the new generators. With the pads complete, FSG supervised the placement of the gensets onto the pads and began the process of installing all feed lines and connections between the generators, the parallel switchgear, and the associated load banks.
FSG executed the work scope flawlessly, providing for the installation of the emergency power generators, along with all associated connections, testing, extensive commissioning, and final system hand-off to the customer.
ResultFSG provided professional and efficient emergency generator installation services as part of the important Sister Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant project. For the North Texas Municipal Water District, a critical project milestone was achieved when FSG completed its work and assured the new facility would be able to provide continuity of service even in the event of a power outage.
