When Johnson Controls needed to bring energy savings to the Los Angeles County Library System, they turned to FSG as the partner they could trust to get the job done right.

Challenge

For more than 140 years, the Los Angeles Central Library system has served the greater Los Angeles area. When Los Angeles County officials decided to perform a lighting upgrade on its historic downtown branch, they selected Johnson Controls to supervise the project. Johnson Controls needed a reliable lighting contractor for this high-profile job, so they turned to FSG.

Solution

The scope of the project covered over 8,900 fixtures in the downtown branch. Importantly, FSG was able to perform the work with minimal to no disruption to the library’s day-to-day operations.

Result

The project was completed to the satisfaction of LA County officials and all other parties. With all-new state-of-the-art LED lighting and control systems in place, the Los Angeles Central Library system's Downtown Branch was all set to deliver excellent light for readers, and even more excellent energy savings for the future!
