MD Anderson Cancer Center West Houston Houston, Texas
ChallengeIn 2016, MD Anderson broke ground on the construction of a 175,000 square foot outpatient diagnostic and treatment center located in west Houston’s Central Park development. The new facility was selected to be MD Anderson's first free-standing building constructed outside of the Texas Medical Center, and would represent Phase 1 of a long-term plan by MD Anderson to fully develop its 34.5-acre campus in Central Park.
To manage the construction project, MD Anderson selected Linbeck to serve as General Contractor. When selecting an electrical construction partner to execute the work scope on this technically demanding and high-profile project, Linbeck turned to FSG’s Houston branch.
SolutionThroughout the project, FSG provided a seamless interface with Linbeck and executed all aspects of the electrical work scope for the new facility. Despite temporary delays due to area flooding from Hurricane Harvey, the project proceeded on pace, and all electrical construction was completed to the customer’s satisfaction.
ResultAt the Grand Opening ceremony for MD Anderson West Houston in June 2019, there were many project team members who could look back on the project with pride. For FSG, the project provided an opportunity to deliver top-quality electrical construction service on another one of Houston’s signature projects. And while delivering excellent work to a GC and project owner is always a satisfaction, when the project supports an organization like MD Anderson the job becomes an honor as well.
FSG projects consistently deliver excellence for our customers, for our employees, and for the communities we serve.
We see each project as an opportunity to embrace our mission and provide superior value through quality products, service, and support.
