NYU Langone Medical Center New York, New York

Case Study
When NYU Langone decided to make the move to LED lighting, they turned to FSG as the partner they could trust.

Challenge

NYU Langone Medical Center is a teaching hospital and clinical research center, comprising the NYU School of Medicine, located in New York City. The center desired to retrofit their existing interior and exterior lighting systems with new, more efficient LED fixtures. As a specialty lighting distributor and installation expert, FSG Lighting stepped in and brought our trademark expertise to the project.

Solution

The retrofit project covered more than twenty-five buildings located throughout the Big Apple. Thousands of fixtures were replaced. The hospital and its affiliated sites saw the immediate benefits of improved lighting output, better quality light, and reaped the benefits of operational savings, thanks to LED fixtures’ improved energy efficiency. In addition to the main campus at 550 First Avenue, several other locations were retrofitted. These included the Hospital for Joint Diseases, the Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine, the Tisch Hospital, Columbus Medical, Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.
