Challenge

This busy facility was lit with High Pressure Sodium lighting that provided poor color and could not be easily turned on and off when areas were vacant. Offices still had old T12 fluorescent fixtures, and lamp availability was becoming an issue.

Solution

FSG installed a new T5HO high efficiency fluorescent lighting system with occupancy senors, taking care to work with the local logistics staff to produce the minimum disruption to the operation.

Result

The new lighting system produced superior color, with the CRI improving to 80CRI from the original 22CRI. The new system is instant on and instant re-strike, and occupancy sensors now shut off lighting when areas are vacant.
