North Texas Data Center Chooses FSG for Mission Critical Facility Expansion with Zero Downtime
Challenge
Quality Technology Services (QTS) is a leading provider of data center solutions that offers more than seven million square feet of QTS Mega Data Centers throughout North America and Europe. For QTS, the ability to flex with customers to solve any data problem is central to their mission. When the time came to expand the capacities and capabilities of its mission-critical North Texas data centers, QTS needed an electrical contractor with flexibility at the core of its mission, too. For data hall expansion projects at its North Texas facilities, QTS and GC Turner Construction turned to FSG.Solution
For each project, FSG was tasked with upgrading uninterruptible power supply (UPS) capacity to service new power distribution units (PDUs) that would deliver power to servers, networking hardware, telecom equipment, and other devices located within the new data halls. In some cases, additional lighting was required to service the new spaces and FSG delivered and installed fixtures to meet this need. Once the PDUs were installed, FSG technicians conducted complete acceptance testing on all new equipment to verify that all components were fit for service and ready to go.Result
