Solution

This first generation build out consisted of twelve laboratories, animal holding, administration areas, and support rooms. FSG installed a separate electrical service, provided from the existing bus duct, to each individual laboratory. A very elaborate art piece was installed at the entrance of administration area which required special low-voltage lighting. A complete fire alarm system was also provided, which in turn communicated with the existing system. All work was performed in a fully occupied building in the Texas Medical Center.
