FSG Performed a full service LED Lighting upgrade for Shop Rite stores
Challenge
The Eickhoff family has been operating supermarkets since 1955 when they opened their first store in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Cold Technology upgrades Refrigeration, HVAC, and Lighting into a unified design that has been tailored to help grocery store owners achieve their merchandising and operational objectives at the overall lowest cost of ownership. When doing a complete upgrade at the Shop Rite in Cinnaminson New Jersey, they turned to FSG for installation services.Solution
The front end areas of the store utilized Lithonia recessed parabolic fixtures with T8 lamps. These fixtures were upgraded to new Columbia LED volumetric troffers. Main shopping areas were lit with Hubbel prismatic high bays utilizing 42W compact fluorescent lamps. These were upgraded to new Hubbel LED highbays. Led strip lights and vaportight fixtures were replaced with new LED fixtures, and CFL downlights were replaced with new Amerlux Hornet LED downlights.Result
Lighting was installed off hours with no disruption to customers of the business. In addition to improved aesthetics and higher light levels, the new fixtures provided much longer life and reduced maintenance. The main fixture type, the CFL high bays saw life increase from 10,000 hours to 120,000 hours!More Information
