T-Mobile Austin Network Expansion | Telecom Austin, Texas

Case Study
FSG Telecom Delivers T-Mobile Fiber Network Expansion Project on a Tight Deadline

After numerous delays with permitting, a fiber network installation project was finally set to begin in Austin, Texas. Project owner T-Mobile was looking to complete a four-block rollout of the new network, which would originate at a hub location atop a private building located in proximity to the project. To complete the task, the hub had to be tapped, and the node had to be live in just one week.

With an extremely tight deadline and no room for error, T-Mobile turned to FSG Telecom to execute the project.

To perform this work, FSG crews had to access utility manholes in the street, pull all inner duct and fiber, splice fiber at the HUB and at the manholes, and tie in the small cell node. All work was completed along two busy arterial roads in Austin during off-peak hours, to minimize traffic disruption.

FSG Telecom coordinated with the owner of the building where the hub was located, performed all traffic control, pulled all fiber, and executed all the network splices and testing required to complete the job. By coordinating with all stakeholders and self-performing all work, FSG Telecom was able to deliver the project to the customer with two days to spare on their extremely tight deadline.

FSG Telecom's turnkey service offering made the difference for T-Mobile on this project.
