FSG is providing ground-up electrical, electrical engineering, and BIM services for Top Golf.

Challenge

When Dallas-based Topgolf decided to open its first Southern California location, it turned to trusted General Contractor ARCO Murray to head up the project. FSG is providing ground-up electrical work on this 65,000-sq ft Top Golf location. Top Golf is a large entertainment venue featuring a high-tech driving range as well as a full bar serving food and drinks.

Solution

The project features 102 climate-controlled hitting bays for players. The project spanned 9 months and roughly 13,500 man hours. FSG's Engineering & BIM team is providing electrical drawings and plans for this and many other Top Golf locations across the nation. With an established electrical design based on a recent history of many other newly-constructed Top Golf locations, the work scope was fairly straightforward for FSG’s project management team. During the project, however, FSG was able to demonstrate the value of BIM modeling by taking the lead and improving coordination between the other trades at work on the job.
