FSG provides top-level electrical construction services for new 32-story high-rise retirement facility

Challenge

When Manhattan was selected to oversee the construction of a brand new, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose 32-story retirement facility in downtown Ft. Worth, they understood that they needed to select an electrical construction contractor that would be up to the task. Manhattan wanted an electrical contractor with deep experience and an uncompromising eye for detail. For the new Trinity Terrace Towers III project, Manhattan selected FSG to match their sense of urgency, to share their passion for excellence, and to deliver a remarkable new property for project owner Cumberland Rest, Inc.

Solution

Plans for the new 290,000 square-foot high-rise retirement center included independent living units with walk-up street-level entry, six floors of luxury penthouse units atop the building, and the balance of the floors in between dedicated to a mix of independent living units, assisted living units, and memory care units. Finally, the new facility was designed to offer full multi-level food service along with recreation, exercise, and rehab areas.

FSG's first job on the project involved working with project engineers from Glumac to review the electrical design for the new facility. Importantly, the finished design had to align with different building codes regulating independent living spaces, assisted living spaces, and spaces dedicated to memory care and in-house therapy. With this multifaceted electrical design in place, FSG proceeded to execute the work scope flawlessly, delivering the full scope of electrical services for the project.

Result

The Trinity Terrace Towers III project served to illustrate much of what customers since 1982 have come to expect from FSG. Even with a tight construction schedule, the project was completed on time. Both the project owner and the GC were very happy with the complex electrical construction work completed by FSG, and residents at the new facility were able to immediately appreciate the level of craftsmanship and finish on display in their new home.
