Is UV Lighting and NPBI Effective Against COVID-19?
According to the April 2020 Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) report, their answer is “yes,” UV lighting can effectively inactivate the COVID-19 virus under certain conditions. The most effective UV lighting for inactivating viruses is UV-C lighting. NPBI has also been shown to deactivate over 99% of COVID-19 in 30 minutes.
