ChallengeIn Brea, California, Simon Properties wanted to upgrade the parking lot for one of its important properties, Brea Mall. The mall was currently outfitted with high mast 1000-watt metal halide fixtures, which were expensive to maintain and operate. As a national company with a local challenge to face, Simon Properties knew a call to FSG's National Accounts office in Dallas was the first step towards finding a winning solution.
SolutionWith the particulars of the job in hand, FSG National Accounts reached out to its local branch to complete the work. FSG crews arrived on location and began swapping out the legacy metal halide lights with bright, high-efficiency LED units.
FSG crews completed the lighting upgrade project without interrupting the normal flow of operations at Brea Mall, and all work was executed to the satisfaction of the property owner.
ResultUpon completion of the parking lot lighting upgrade, the project not only decreased the amount of energy used to light the facility at night but also increased the amount of light on the parking lot and sidewalk surfaces. This made the facility safer and more customer- and employee-friendly at night.
This project was also significant because it supported a long-standing and ongoing relationship between Simon Properties and FSG.
