Executive Summary
Facing an industry-wide labor shortage, our San Antonio team’s prefab shop supported the project by assigning routine, non-critical electrical tasks to apprentices under the supervision of a Master Electrician and a strict quality control program. This approach kept the project on schedule and developed future full-time, certified technicians for FSG.
Project Highlights
- Utilized Propel Prefabrication to offset labor shortages, enabling assembly of electrical components off-site by apprentices supervised by master electricians
- Prefabricated overhead conduit racks and entire electrical rooms for in-field “plug-and-play” installation
- Maintained project momentum and met schedule milestones despite labor constraints through innovative prefabrication methods
