When Bloomin Brands wanted to capitalize on the benefits of LED lighting, they turned to FSG to help design, develop, and implement a nationwide retrofit program across their portfolio of properties.

Challenge

Lighting is a key component for any restaurant. Not only does lighting provide the necessary function of illumination, but it also a vital component of the overall ambiance and environment. For Outback, maintaining a warm ambiance with their lighting while still capturing the energy and maintenance savings that comes with LED lamps and fixtures was critical for this project. Additionally, the project needed to be completed in such a way that the daily operations of the restaurant would not be disrupted.

Solution

FSG was able to help design, procure, and develop a turn key project that would upgrade not only the dining room lighting, but also all of the back of house lighting. The project would be completed during the overnight hours so that the restaurant could continue to operate. Lamps were replaced in the front of house, while fixtures and lamps were replaced in the back of house areas.

Result

In the end, the project yielded the energy and maintenance savings being sought while not diminishing the lighting design.
