The Port Authority of NY & NJ partnered with Constellation Energy and FSG to enhance the iconic Oculus station in Manhattan with dynamic RGB lighting.
Executive Summary
The Port Authority sought to improve energy efficiency and extend lighting life at the $4 billion Oculus transit hub in New York. Partnering with Constellation Energy, FSG New Jersey lighting team upgraded more than 13,000 fixtures to high-efficiency RGB LED technology. The project reduced energy use, lowered maintenance costs, and enhanced the architectural beauty of the Santiago Calatrava–designed space for millions of annual visitors.
