Top 150 Electrical Distributors in 2023: FSG Once Again Makes the List

Every year, Electrical Wholesaling Magazine publishes an article listing the Top 150 Electrical Distributors in the United States. This list takes into consideration factors such as sales-per-employee, revenue, and company acquisitions.

Once again, FSG has made the list.

The article pointed out that despite a rough three years, the nation’s top electrical distributors seem to have weathered the storms and are posting strong sales figures.

FSG was included in two lists within the article, coming in at #21 among all electrical distributors when considering total sales per employee, and appearing at #64 in the ranking of the nation’s Top 150 Electrical Distributors.

We take great pride in weathering challenges such as supply-chain shortages, price increases due to inflation, and decisions about how much material to stock.

Additionally, the rapidly evolving technology of products such as LED lighting and Electric Vehicle charging stations brings its own stocking and distribution challenges.

FSG was ranked #21 in the Top 25 Electrical Distributors with the highest sales-per-employee, and we owe that to the hard work and dedication of our team members.

Acquisitions & Appointments

FSG was also mentioned in the recap of major industry acquisitions in 2022. In the past year, FSG has made two targeted acquisitions and investments in companies that share FSG’s vision and support the facility services we provide.

FSG acquired Capital Architectural Signs (CAS) in the latter half of 2022 to boost the capabilities of our Signs division. CAS’s experience and expertise in wayfinding and ADA signage combined with the traditional exterior and interior signage experience of FSG will create a winning combination for everyone.

Our second big acquisition in 2022 came late in the year when we acquired West-Lite Supply. West-Lite, a second-generation family business, served its customers as a successful wholesale lighting distributor for more than 40 years and was consistently ranked among the top 100 U.S. lighting distributors. For us, this match felt like a perfect fit!
