Challenge

There are many ways to achieve energy savings by applying a lighting retrofit to an existing system. FSG is an expert at these retrofits, and was called upon by VF Sportswear to apply such a retrofit to their Nautica store in San Diego, California.

Solution

This project involved installing new energy-saving ceramic metal halide track heads with halogen color filters. This reduced the quantity of fixture heads, and improved the overall lighting in the store. In addition, the new lamps had a usable life of 15,000 hours, as compared to the previous lamps whose usable life was only 2,000 hours. Utilizing the benefits of the store?s local utility on-bill 0% financing program, Nautica was able to pay for this project with no money out of pocket.
