FSG Upgrades Lighting and HVAC at 5 Correctional Facilities
Challenge
GEO Corrections & Detention provides secure corrections and detention management services as well as secure offender transportation services to government clients in the United States and Internationally. Worldwide, GEO Corrections & Detention oversees the operation and management of approximately 96,000 beds in 136 correctional and detention facilities. FSG performed Energy Upgrades at 5 New Jersey Facilities in Newark and Trenton: Bo Robinson, Logan Hall, Talbot Hall, The Harbor and Tully House. These facilities each house anywhere from 148 to 900 individuals.Solution
Both interior and exterior lighting systems were upgraded to the newest technologies to provide energy savings and reduced maintenance costs. FSG's experienced installation teams worked in the secure environment to provide minimal disruption. Over 295 tons of rooftop HVAC units were also replaced.Result
Energy retrofits will provide over $315,000 in energy savings annually. Life on exterior lighting fixtures increased from 24,000 hours to 100,000 hours, greatly reducing future maintenance costs.
